Water Damaged Dining Room; Dried and Rebuilt
When a water pipe leak occurs it can effect a whole house if not noticed and taken care of right away. This home was in the process of being sold and therefore the toilet leak from the upstairs bathroom was not noticed right away. These walls were fortunately able to be saved, by drying in place using specialized techniques. This saves on time and money. The wall paper was removed in order to ensure a safe and faster drying took place, as this type of wall paper created a moisture barrier. The homeowner was able to pick out new paint colors for the room, and was happy with the result. The ceiling, however, had to be removed because this is an older home and had been remodeled in the past, creating multiple layers of plaster and drywall. It was more cost and time effective to remove those layers and actually replace the ceiling. As you can see, the final result is beautiful!
