On May 22, 2019, a tornado ripped through Jefferson City causing major damage to both residential and commercial businesses. One of the business that was hit was the Special Olympics Missouri Training for Life Campus.
The Special Olympics Training for Life Campus is the worlds largest sports organization with nearly 5 million athletes in more than 10 countries - 16,000 of them here in Missouri. They are also a global social movement. Their initiatives are to activate youth, engage kids with intellectual disabilities, build communities, and improve the health of their athletes.
The Training for Life Campus is a state of the art facility for people with intellectual disabilities to discover their strengths and abilities, skills and success. These athletes inspire our community.
It was a devastating hit for the Special Olympics and SERVPRO of Jefferson City was proud to be a part of the cleanup process of packing out furniture and storing it until the center is rebuilt. While being housed at our SERVPRO warehouse our crew takes pride in cleaning the furniture and restoring it to it's original state.
